Dark navy and slate waves are crossed by bright bands of gold, as if sunlight is breaking through a storm. The paint is applied thickly, with scraped areas that catch the light.
The contrast between heavy darkness and luminous gold gives the piece a dramatic presence. The energy moves diagonally across the canvas from lower left to upper right.
A bold statement for a dining room, a study or a living room with neutral furniture. Warm lighting brings out the metallic accents.
