About the artwork
Julio Prieto is the artist behind "Secretaria de Educacion Publica 2". The catalogue places it in Vintage Posters. The format is portrait. Vintage Posters in brief: Art Nouveau, Art Deco, and later modernist design each left a recognisable poster style. Colour lithography in the 1890s turned the illustrated poster into a major art form, and cities such as Paris and Prague became centres of poster design.
"Secretaria de Educacion Publica 2" is shown in the onlly.art catalogue for reference and browsing. A portrait format suits narrow wall spaces, hallways, and the area beside a door or window. Browsing works by the same artist, or from the same period, is a good way to compare styles before choosing what suits your space.
